Today, we were thrilled to welcome the incredible ladies from municipal company Deponija Podgorica! These amazing women, who work hard to keep our environment clean, took time out of their day to speak with our kids about the importance of recycling and protecting our planet. 💚♻️

They shared their insights on how each of us can make a difference, then led a fun, hands-on exercise where the children sorted trash into recycling categories! 🌿🗑️ It was inspiring to watch the next generation learn the basics of caring for our world.

We were truly inspired, through the topic of HELPFULNESS, which we are discussing this month, how we can all give our own contribution and how small acts of kindness and helpfulness can lead to meaningful changes!

A huge thank you to our community helpers who do so much more than their jobs—they care for all of us and the Earth we all share. Together, let’s continue to make a positive impact! 🌎💪

During October we focus on the virtue of being helpful and recognizing community helpers such as Asmir and his colleagues! The kids were thrilled to learn essential skills like bandaging and assisting others in need. They had an amazing time practicing on their friends and even some brave teachers! Their enthusiasm and curiosity truly reflected the spirit of helping others. 💪

Our local heroes have explained to us how they help in many different ways - home fire accidents, forest fires, floods, earthquakes, car accidents etc. The children got a lesson in various equipment pieces being used, and they had an amazing opportunity to hold the hose themselves! ❤️

Firefighters are some of the most vital community helpers, always ready to respond in moments of crisis. Whether it’s putting out fires, rescuing those in need, or ensuring our city is safe during emergencies, they are true everyday heroes. Their dedication and bravery keep us all protected. 💪🔥

We are so thankful for their service to our community! 🙏 Let’s show our appreciation and continue to learn how we can all help make Podgorica a safer place together.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community to discuss this important value and how we can encourage it in our children, both at home and in their everyday lives.

These sessions are designed to improve coordination, flexibility, strength, and balance, while also encouraging teamwork and building confidence. The classes will be both challenging and enjoyable, helping children to develop their physical skills in a supportive
setting.

Our Kindergarten group will have one gymnastics class per week. These classes will introduce basic gymnastics movements and exercises in a playful and age-appropriate manner, focusing on developing motor skills and body awareness.

Recognizing the unique needs of our youngest students, we are excited to continue with yoga classes twice a week for our Pre-K group. These sessions will provide a calm and nurturing environment where children can learn basic yoga poses, practice mindfulness, and enhance their concentration and relaxation skills.

The children had the opportunity to explore a real fire truck, ask questions, and learn more about the important work that firefighters do. This experience not only sparked curiosity but also emphasised the significance of community helpers in emergencies. The firefighters also shared the emergency number for fire situations (123), contributing to the children's awareness and safety.

To enhance our exploration, we were honoured to have dr Jelena Selic visit us, who shared valuable insights into her profession, allowing the children to gain a deeper understanding of the role of healthcare professionals. The highlight for the children was the hands-on experience of trying out the doctor's stethoscope on their friends. This activity not only brought joy but also allowed them to listen to their friends' heartbeat and breathing, fostering a sense of curiosity and understanding of the human body.
